Solana (SOL) Analysis, October 2026: 13 Straight Weeks of ETF Inflows. Can SOL Break $125?
Author: Crypffalo Research · 12:00 03/10/2026
SOL rebounded from below $100 to around $120 on ETF inflows, 9-month-high app revenue and Fiserv's bank stablecoin. Technical analysis, key support/resistance levels and 3 price scenarios for October.

Solana (SOL) just had a very notable September: the price fell below 100 USD in mid-month and then bounced back to around 120 USD in just two weeks. Behind the recovery were steady ETF inflows, the highest app revenue in 9 months and a string of positive institutional news. The question now: does SOL have enough momentum to break the 125 USD zone in October, or will it need to pull back and retest support first?
Quick summary
- SOL is trading around 119–122 USD (Oct 2–3, 2026), with a market cap of about 72 billion USD and a circulating supply of about 590 million SOL.
- US spot Solana ETFs have seen 13 consecutive weeks of net inflows; the week ending Sep 25 alone brought in 188.2 million USD.
- App revenue on Solana reached about 180 million USD in September, a 9-month high.
- Decision zone: resistance at 122.6–125 USD, support at 113–118 USD. A daily close above 125 USD opens the way to 135 USD; losing 108 USD risks a move to 102–104 USD.
1. ETF flows: SOL's biggest source of support
- All 7 US spot Solana ETFs recorded inflows in the week ending Sep 25, 2026, totaling 188.2 million USD, the second-highest weekly figure on record. Bitwise's BSOL alone accounted for about 128 million USD (68%).
- The net inflow streak has run for 13 consecutive weeks since late June. September as a whole brought in about 271 million USD, the strongest month in 10 months; Sep 26 alone saw 86.6 million USD.
- Cumulative net inflows into the funds stand at about 1.61 billion USD, with total assets under management of about 1.91 billion USD.
- Worth noting: flows slowed sharply early this week, to only about 1.1 million USD as of Thursday. If the 13-week streak breaks, it would be a negative short-term sentiment signal.
2. Institutions keep accumulating and using Solana
- Forward Industries (a US-listed company focused on holding SOL) bought nearly 949,000 SOL in the fiscal quarter ending in September at an average cost of about 83 USD. Its total holdings rose to 8.501 million SOL, worth about 1 billion USD at a price of 118 USD, or about 1.4% of circulating supply.
- On Oct 1, 2026, the digital asset platform of Fiserv, one of the largest payment infrastructure companies in the US, officially went live. The Roughrider Coin stablecoin (pegged to USD) is used for interbank transfers among more than 90 banks and credit unions in North Dakota, with transactions processed on Solana and custody infrastructure provided by Fireblocks.
- Tokenized real-world assets on Solana set a record spot trading volume of 4.35 billion USD in September, 3.4 times August's level.
- Why it matters: Solana is being used for real bank payments, not just memecoins, which gives the long-term story a firmer foundation.
3. Network health: real revenue, real users
- September app revenue was about 180 million USD, a 9-month high; the peak day, Sep 11, reached nearly 8 million USD. Solana accounts for about 32% of total revenue across blockchains.
- Trading volume on decentralized exchanges (DEX) is about 16.6 billion USD per week, with cumulative volume above 3,000 billion USD. Total value locked (TVL) is above 6.5 billion USD.
- The Alpenglow upgrade is being tested on testnet and devnet, aiming to cut transaction finality from about 12.8 seconds to about 150 milliseconds. It is the biggest change to Solana's consensus to date. There is no official mainnet date yet, so this is a medium-term catalyst, not short-term news.
4. Technical analysis
- Trend: since mid-August, SOL has been moving in an ascending channel; the price is currently near the channel's midline, with the channel bottom at about 108 USD.
- Moving averages: the price is above all 4 key EMAs: EMA20 at about 114.4 USD, EMA50 at about 104.4 USD, EMA100 at about 95.9 USD and EMA200 at about 95.6 USD. Reclaiming the EMA200 after the mid-September drop is a positive signal.
- RSI (14-day): about 64–66, with room left before the 70 overbought zone but no longer cheap. MACD is still positive but shows signs of slowing, suggesting upside momentum is weakening as price approaches resistance.
- Resistance: 122.6–125 USD (a previously rejected zone, latest high 126 USD) → 127.4 USD → 135 USD → 141.5–145 USD → 150 USD.
- Support: 118 USD (23.6% Fibonacci, coinciding with EMA12) → 113–114 USD (EMA20) → 108 USD (channel bottom) → 102–104 USD (EMA50) → 95–96 USD (EMA100/200).
5. Three scenarios for October 2026
- Bullish (the team estimates about 40%): SOL holds the 113–118 USD zone and closes a daily candle above 125 USD on rising volume. The next target would then be 135 USD, and further out 141–145 USD. Conditions: ETFs keep seeing inflows and Bitcoin does not drop sharply.
- Neutral (about 35%): SOL trades sideways in the 110–125 USD range to cool off the RSI, waiting for macro data (US CPI on Oct 14, the Fed meeting on Oct 27–28). This scenario suits patient observers better than chasing the price.
- Bearish (about 25%): the broader market corrects, the ETF inflow streak breaks and SOL loses 108 USD (channel bottom). The next zone to watch is 102–104 USD, and deeper, 95–96 USD, where EMA100 and EMA200 converge.
6. Risks to know
- Bitcoin dependence: SOL usually moves more sharply than BTC in both directions. On Oct 3, the broader market corrected and SOL fell about 2–4% along with it.
- Fast recovery already: the price rose more than 20% from the mid-September low in about two weeks, so the risk of a "bull trap" around 125 USD is real.
- ETF flows slowed in early October. Track the daily data to confirm the trend.
- Macro calendar: US CPI on Oct 14 and the Fed meeting on Oct 27–28 could trigger strong market volatility.
- Technology risk: Alpenglow is a major consensus change; any delay or incident during rollout could weigh on sentiment.
Crypffalo's view
- In the medium term, Solana has all three factors the team values: steady institutional flows, real network revenue and bank payment use cases.
- In the short term, the price is right at the 122.6–125 USD resistance with an RSI that is no longer low. The team prefers to wait for confirmation (a daily close above 125 USD) or watch price action at 113–118 USD, rather than chasing in the middle of the range.
- If you take part, split your orders, set a clear stop loss and limit risk to 1–2% of total capital per trade, as described in the "Money Management for Beginners" article on Crypffalo. Avoid high leverage on an asset as volatile as SOL.
